Issued in 2009, this stamps shows both a peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) and Eleonora's falcon (Falco eleonorae). I have written about the first one before. The second species is a medium sized migratory falcon named after Eleanor of Arborea. It can be found in southern Europe and areas of Africa. It feeds on large insects, small birds and occasionally bats.
