Welcome to my collection. My topic is birds and I collect mostly covers but I will show you a variety of philatelic material that is part my collection.

Here is a complete set from 2015 issued by Slovenia. I have recently written about the first bird, the great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus).

The next one is the stock dove (Columba oenas). It can be found in much of Europe and northwest Asia. It has two subspecies. It feeds on plant material, insects and snails. Finally, the northern populations are migratory.

We have also seen the black stork (Ciconia nigra) in the past.

The next stamp features a kentish plover (Anarhynchus alexandrinus). It inhabits areas of Africa, of Asia and west Europe. It has three subspecies. Some populations are migratory. It eats small insects, spicers, molluscs, crustaceans and worms.

The final stamp shows a white-winged snowfinch (Montifringilla nivalis). Despite its name, it is not a species of finch but a sparrow. It has seven subspecies. It can be found in areas of Europe and Asia. Interestingly, its beak is black in the summer and yellow during the winter. It eats seeds and some insects.
